48th Team:

Efforts to connect to West Bloomfield High School classroom yesterday from the courtroom were unsuccessful since WBHS was far too busy with final student testing etc. to get to their equipment for a connection test. Therefore we are not sure if anything meaningful can manifest itself prior to the close of this school year. Maybe next fall will provide us that opportunity.

Meanwhile we will be utilizing the upcoming Summer months to create & develop Michigan K-12 Curriculum & Benchmarks and professional development elements in preparation for the fall. We will also continue to explore possible connections to "underserved communities" (Pontiac) to gain some community insights & experience and continue the project development process since they will be available through-out the summer months.

48th Team:

Houston........simple problem resolved at 48th District Court by Mr. Gallucci. "Test connection" to observatory confirms........and I believe they are attempting to contact Neal Curry at West Bloomfield High School to finalize successful connectivity to their classroom.

Next Steps
Attempt to identify date and/or connection opportunity prior to the end of the shcool year if possible.

48th Team:

Hold the presses....."Houston we have a problem." It appears we may have a "small technical glitch" (connectivity) that prevented this "test" from occuring. We will attempt to bring the technical "solutioneers," (Ed Hendry & Tony Gallucci) to troubleshoot the probelm(s) once again. However, this "glitch" may just prevent us from accomplishing our short-term goal (connect before end of school year 2003) which may stall our efforts for further summer program development for the coming fall 2003 roll-out.

Flash! Spoke to Ed Hendry & Tony Gallucci (The Technical Solutioneers) 6-13-2003 and they will attempt to contact Renee Boggemes and schedule a visit to the 48th District Court to resolve any problems on Monday, June 16, 2003.

48th Team

Received calls from Renee Boggemes and Neal Curry today. They are initiating "test" connection today/afternoon between 48th District Court and West Bloomfield High School. They intend to connect from Judge Small's courtroom to Alycia Chase's classroom & "mock-trail" students on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at 9:00AM to 10.30AM.
